Message from hacker

Just got an email from a supposed hacker. Says he has downloaded malware and has uploaded all my id's and passwords. Giving me 48 hrs to pay $900 via bitcoin or he's going to start sending xrated messages.
So if posts start popping up that are not representative of what I normally post it isn't me.
I suspect it's a hoax though.

I have a feeling it's a hoax as well. It's really sad there are scumbaggy lowlifes out there that do these kinds of things.

Seems to be a hoax as the password he said was for my email wasn't even near correct.
The header shows the return path as "Aaron@Smith356.edu" with an IP of 95.46.111.217.

There is another one going around that I get with my old myspace pass word. They are going to send my porn habits to my co workers if I don't pay up. It's been at least 10 years since I was last on myspace. At 73 with cancer I have not had a co worker for 7 years and really would not mind if it was worth watching porn. ;-)

Needless to say I am amused but the email goes in the bitbucket. They don't have anything worth buying but they hope 1 in a thousand will pay up. That would be a very good return on their email threats. Considering the cost of email it would also be a nice profit for an automated system.

Reminds me of my mother. She keeps getting calls telling her that her computer has a virus. She plays stupid and tells them she can make it some chicken soup. After stringing them along for a few minutes, she tells them to pee off, she doesnt even have a computer.

hacker

DW received a text that said if she didn't pay 3K in bitcoin they would send all her contacts the info about her visiting porn sites. I jokingly suggested she reply "Please send" then everyone would know. She declined.

That IP is from Russia. Now there's a surprise....
