message icons

Maybe it's my tired ol' eyes but I'm having trouble distinguishing between the dark grey lightbulb icon for forums with no new messages and the one-shade-of-grey-lighter icon for forums with new messages. Any way to use two different colors like red & green instead of two similar shades of grey? Or, two different icons?

Thanks,
Bob

We agree it's pretty hard to see the difference and are looking at various ways of improving this. In the meantime, you can also tell which threads have new messages because the font for the thread title is bold (but you would have to either open that forum section of use the new post link on the upper nav bar).

Thanks for the reply... it's strange, sometimes they look different and other times they all look the same, like my brain wants them to be all the same or something!

Not being one to give up easily, I've attached a red bulb you could use instead of grey.

The icons are named "forum_old.gif" and "forum_new.gif" so you could do a search & replace to use the red bulb for one or the other.

Just a thought.....
