Go back to the other configuration. This is like limiting freedom of speech. To many fun options have disappeared.

Hello jonelsr,

We're sorry you're disappointed with the new software, what options are you referring to as having disappeared?

Based on my limited interaction with the new system, I have found no issues preventing my freedom of speech. Thumbs up here.

Like everything in life, things progress and when making improvements, things change. Some features may be deleted it they are sledom used and others enhanced or moved.

If we did not make progress, we would all still living in a cave, wearing animal skins and maybe have a cart with stone wheels and a wooden axle.

We all will have to get accustom to the improvements...seems like as I get older, things are slower to learn...but learn them I will.

Give it a chance. I belong to several other forums that use vBulletin, and on balance, there are a lot of capabilities that Eve/Groupee/Infopop didn't support. For example, the following was copied directly from my computer's C: drive (i.e., no need for a hosted image on the web).

Doc,

I noticed this too and have opened up a discussion in our moderator's area in regard to it.

My error as usual shot my mouth off before my Brain was in gear; let me clarify Freedom of Speech. What I was referring to was the signature area that appears to be limited to what you can post there. My apologies. And I would be the first to say I did notice a lot of posts that included too many pictures in that area taking up space. But I would like to see a little more space allowed information. The other things I noticed are:
  • In my case noting the Fleetwood Forum Member missing.
  • Reference to Karma
  • A lot of the fun type Icons/Smiles not available I miss my little guy waving for attention.
I didn’t mean to sound so critical.

John

There are still some items to get cleaned up and added.

After the fine tuning, many things will look better.

Yep, we have some "gettin' used to" a bunch of new stuff.

The signatures can get to taking up a lot of band width it they are too large. For the folks on slower connections, the down load time can go way up. Limiting the signature file helps to reduce some of the excessive clutter and page load times.

I know the signature file is a way to personalize your post but we will get thinks back rolling smoothly.

I think Andy did a great job, and a lot a lot of sleep getting this up and running.

Select "Go Advanced" under the posting text box before you type a post and you will get some additional psoting features, including a few smiley faces.

So far I LIKE it, but then again I'm on two other RV forums that are powered by vBulletin.

I do not appear to be receiving email any longer. Do I have to sign up for each forum again?
