Thanks so much
I can only answer for the 2 I am involved with. The Winnebago Chat is every Tuesday night at 9 PM EDT and the Freightliner Chat is the same time on Wednesday night. They usually last an hour with no specific agenda other than to help each other with questions we may have. Most of us don't have many problems so we talk about other subjects most related to RVing. You are always welcome to join in when ever you wish.

Are the chat rooms available on the mobile app, or just full website?

I don't believe the present software works on mobil app. iRV2 is working on a new Chat Room Program and I can't answer to that. Our computers presently require Java to be loaded on the computer and Java has been giving us lots of problems.

Thanks. I knew they hadn't been, but I was hoping with the upgrades they might have been coming to the new app.

The app is for basic forum functions only.

It would be prohibitively expensive to duplicate the entire web site on an app, and that technology does not exist.

Don:
Thanks for the info. Although I do not have a Winn. or Freightliner I am sure I would enjoy the discussion. I will try and see if I can beam in sometime next week or so.

Happy RV'ing

Dang it. I'm sorry you still can't get in, Bill. Don's gotta be missing his co-host.

I hope the issue w/the new chat can be resolved soon. Shootin' the breeze in chats is one of the perks here.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

What operating system is your computer?

Browser?

Java version?

No special powers. Just wish I knew more about computers.

Bill, I have found through trial and error that whatever version of Java that you have needs to be uninstalled 1st and your system rebooted. Go to the control panel; "Programs and Features" look for Java. Right click - "Uninstall"

I use Norton 360 which allows me to scan the registry for errors and anomalies. So far so good with the current version of N360.

Next - Go to java.com

Click on the big red button to install the latest version of Java.

Once the process is completed, go back to the Java site and test your Java. What you need to see is that it past the audition!

Comon' back to iRV2 and see if you can get in the Chat Room.

What I have seen in the past is that when I just allowed the Java updater to uninstall and re-install Java in the same session for whatever reason it didn't go by cleanly and I remained unable to access the Chat Room.

It's working now BUT I bet that the application provider will update the Java requirement and we'll probably have to go through the process again to get the latest supported version.

Any estimate on time of implementation of the "new" platform/chat?

Thanks Mike, I'll wait for the fix instead of the constant change/updating that is currently required. Hopefully that will be sooner than later. Sure miss Petro and the gang on the chat......

Bill. You can fix it - it just takes a little effort (that you shouldn't have to deal with constantly).

A Chat Service w/o Java hopefully will be the ticket.
