I think your app was updated automatically. Also I unselected image preview to eliminate seeing all those while reviewing unread posts.

Yes I figured it was updated automatically but I didn't see any ads that's why I thought maybe the app itself was needing to be re installed in order to see those ads, which I didn't want to do. Ok thanks I'll check out the iPad later I'm on my phone now. I'm hardly ever on the pc except if I want to look at classifieds or other content. I can get on the full site thru the iPad too if needed.
So why did we change the app?

Yes the app was updated. It's now in line with Apples 64 bit requirement and some of the other changes ( some good and some not so much :( )

Did you see my post #27. We only have one member who has showed us that they are seeing ads. I don't believe it's a sign in issue.

Looks like it will be one of those things that we'll have to deal with.

Neither my android phone or iPad used to show adds. The phone still does not and has not changed. Not so sure I'm liking this new IPad app but I guess that's progress.
Thanks for looking into this for me Cliff.

So what exactly was the expectations of the new app? Did the Forum IT people have a choice in choosing this or designing it?

The app had to be updated to 64 bits otherwise Apple would soon not support those that were 32 bits. We use a third party ( Tapatalk ) that supplies apps to hundreds of companies and a such have little input in what they do. It's not all things to all members. I use it almost exclusively and find it to be more than adequate. None are perfect.

I'm sorry Cliff you did answer that earlier. I too use it exclusively on the iPad. Tonight I'm using the iPhone because I'm not liking it very much. I guess the iPhone will be next. Are there any improvement with features that I may have not yet discovered?

Your phone Is probably looking for an update. Mine did. I think they're pretty equal for the most part.

Is there a way to make the "unread" sliver on the right side larger/wider or change the shape? It's not intuitive that this is the "read/unread" button.
