Just curious if others find the new format on IRV2 less user friendly. I do not like the new format personally.

I'am getting use to it. Use to get daily forum post summary each day. Can't figure it out or they do not do it any longer. It gets better the more you use it.

I was not a big user of the old forum site. I am not a "list" person but more graphics oriented. I am happy with the new format and having the banner ads more available makes me feel like I am supporting the cause when I click one just to see what they offer. Change is always difficult....even if it is for the better. We all need to kind of walk softly to let those who made the change get some sleep now..

I like it also. If the house is Full you have to go somewhere. I was used to the old forum- it took me as long a time to set things up then as it did to get to where i am now on this new system. I enjoy the challenge of finding the new ways of coming home (so to speak). There's always an answer to the ?'s we ask. my problem is sometimes i don't like to listen.
Safe travels...

Go to Thread tools at the op of the thread and you can subscribe to threads you want notifications of. Like anything new it does take a little time and practice in use to get comfortable with a change.

Everyone gets to be comfortable with what ever is familiar. But part of what makes life worth living is something new and better...provided it is better. The old software had reached the end of it's useful life for the volume of traffic the forum was receiving. In order to keep things moving so that everyone could benefit, it was time to transplant the brains. We can go a long way on the new software for some time to come.
Not only are the members getting use to the never home, the moderators and administrators are having to adapt as well. The more I use it, the more I like the features it has to offer. By going into the User CP, you can do a l ot of customization of the forums and the way you use it will become easier. If you don't like something you changed, just go back and undo the change.

I've tried to change my signature lines in the CP but am unable to. What do I need to do?

Since I'm not that big of a poster, it really doesn't mean that much to me personally but, as with everything in life, one has to be constantly adaptable to all the changes that come your way. As what TXiceman noted, the more you use it, the more you'd like the features.

Well.... Most of the "New" format I can take or leave.
There is one thing though........
IN the old format when I choose "New Messages" I got new messages IN THAT FORUM
Now I get 'em all
I liked the old way much much much much (keep on adding muches to this for a few hours) better
I don't like the current new-message tool at all
And I can not easily discreen threads with new messages from old ones when I go into the sub forum either

I joined the group just a bit before the change, so I really didn't have a chance to become 'locked in' to anything. I understand that we all have a comfort zone which, especially for we rv'ers, can be a bit uncomfortable to move out of.
I think we live with the checklists, setup/teardown patterns, maintenance schedules, etc demanded by our rv's and that makes the comfort zone a bit more formidable than that experienced by folks who never stray from home.
And I'm straying from my own comfort zone by yakking so much without a Martini in my hand.
Cheers, Chuck

In short, NO. Actually the format on-line is OK....didn't care one way or another about the old format and about the same for the new. Read all the posts from a daily digest. However, that apparently is no longer available, so about to unsubscribe to all forums and leave since the new "digest" format forces you to be on-line to read everything. This is really too bad as I enjoyed this forum, benefited from the info and enjoyed responding to other's questions occasionally, but life is too short to be forced to be on the internet for much longer periods for what used to take 10 minutes or so.
