Noticed the logo has changed. Are new stickers going to be available?

Hi Bob,
Our plans are to exhaust the current supply then when we reorder them we'll have them made with the new logo. It'll take a while to use them up.

I can't believe that I'm the only one to realize that the Class C picture in the "new" logo (top of page) is backwards. That is unless it was taken in a country that drives on the "wrong" side of the road! Regards ...elp70 (formerly known as 4Eddielee on this site)

When I saw the new IRV2 logo at first I kind of thought the "I" in IRV2 looked like a silhouette of a person. Just my 2 cents worth here, but if I was a person that was new to this site I would read the logo as "RV2.com" and not "IRV2.com". And the "I" was just a silhouette as part of the graphics. It was the first thing I noticed when I booted up Monday waiting for the new forums to come on-line. I said "O" they changed the name of the website. It took me a few seconds to realize that was a "I". Just my 2 cents worth.... Otherwise I like all the color that has been added

I didn't get the new logo either. I, too, thought the "i" got replaced by a tiny person until I saw the "i" was still being used in the Welcome box wording. Then I realized the person WAS the "i", albeit a stylized one. I can see how someone not familiar with the name would misinterpret the new logo (& even those that are familar got confused...at first).

Yes, it is a stylized i to resemble a person, and a happy one at that.
We don't think there will be much confusion as one has to type iRV2.com to get here.

True, if they are told by someone. However, if they are not familiar with us and they see it on a sticker or possibly an advertisement it may be confusing. Initial impression looks like RV2.
BTW this isn't a complaint, just an observation.

Well, been thinking it over, I like the looks of the new logo, but for the life of me I just can't get I of IRV2 out of it. And by this I mean as a stranger looking at it when it goes by me, I don't think I would pick up anything but RV2. I just wonder if potential new members would pick up on it?
My two cents, going back under my rock-----------
Best,

I totally agree with you and did just send someone over via a link. When they went to put the actual name in, she couldn't get here. It took awhile to figure out why, but they were dropping the I. I think they should purchase rv2.com..and send it over to this site if someone drops the I.

Not only that, but now the same picture shows up in an ad between pages 40 and 41 of the April 09 Good Sam Highways magazine. I can't believe the photo pool is so shallow that the competition is using the same flipped photo. Surely among all the iRV2 members, someone must have a better picture for the forum banner.
Maybe have a contest. Get something original.

Do you have an inside source to behind the scene discussions?? ...You have to be a little more patient - but it has been a topic of discussion before we ever went live...

This is the plan. I just need to get the specifications in place so members know what kind of photo we are looking for. We hope to have 4 contest per year and change the image based on the season and use photos with members rigs in them.

The plan is to have rotating member's pictures displayed, but more pressing technical issues are keeping everyone busy.
It's on the list of items to be addressed.
