New Post Section in Blue Area

Got a Q: In the New Posts Area is there a way to mark a single post as read without going into it? I know on another Forum I'm on that uses vBulletin if I click on the envelope on the left side of the post it will mark it as read or ask you if you want it marked read. I like reading most of the Posts, but some I don't have an answer for or am not interested in.
