You must realize those are not all real users or people. For example right now you have 1393 (365 members and 1028 guests)So you only have 365 users. of the 1028 guests likely only a handful are visitors. The rest will be computers and spammers. Google Bots will be one example of the computers that will parse your sight for updates.

As a former message board owner and user of vBulletin, I know you have some demographic and usage statistics. Can you tell us how many active users you have and how many registered members? How long is the average stay? How many frequent users and posters, etc.?
Just being curious.

It's great that so many folk use the forum, but it does bring a problem for me. I come on, usually once a day, and I use the "new posts" feature. What this large membership does is put almost 900 new posts on the system every 24 hours. If I don't get on for 3 days or so, there are 2500 new posts. Way too much to digest!
