offense and sexist ads

Does anyone else find the ads for 5 secrets to a flat belly offense? I know this forum depends on advertising revenue, but with so many of us now supporting the site, isn't it be possible to be more selective?

What's next? Condom ads?

There have been many threads on this. Generally the ads you see are related in some way to your viewing / searching habits. Here's one previous thread that gives advice on blocking them.

google ads

These ads you see are not IRV2's choosing.

If it werent for condoms, there would be more big bellies, and not from over eating....lol
I tend not even to look at the ads.....That said, they are geared to your search or internet habits.....I bought a new sliding door for the house, registered the warranty online...For the next 6 months, nothing but home improvement ads

Apologies for my lack of tech savvy. I have downloaded an ad locker app. Thanks

I use Chrome with AdBlock. It shows 17 ads on this page blocked. You could also clean out your cookies and erase most of the info used to show 'your' ads.

Isn't America becoming a wee bit sensitive? If you don't like an ad, don't purchase the product. Don't support the advertiser. but, not everyone is politically correct. In fact many of us Served our nation because we thought everyone had a right to FREE Speech. If one doesn't like a certain candy why should ALL candy be banned. The ads help support the web site. All that I've seen are FAR better than any on the TV networks. safe travels... ed

Freedom OF speech includes freedom FROM speech. Your right to say what you want does not include any guarantee or requirement for others to have to listen. In the context of this thread, I get to decide what is displayed on my PC.

Does freedom of speech extend to the WHOOMP-DE-WHOOMP car stereos driving by your house at 3am? If you could install a boombox-blocker in your yard so you didn't have to hear it, would you? Would that violate their rights? Are obtrusive ads on a website not the same thing?

By installing adblock, I am exercising my freedom FROM speech. Thanks to all who served to give me that right.

The most offense to me are people that whine about things that are of no particular importance. So what I do in the majority of times is just ignore whatever offends me, and they just go away . . . . Easy.
