Couldn't log in until I changed password. What a PITA that was. After all these years to have to go through that for some software change. Did that bother anyone else??

Really strange. Tried to log in yesterday and got a message about a software change. Had me go through some hoops and sent me e-mails with a new password and once I was logged back in, I was able to change back to my original. I wondered if I might have been the only one that was affected.

Might well be.... I haven't seen anything unusual.

I had a simular problem on the Veterans site. Said my password was invalid. Went through the hoops of being reminded of my password by answering my secret questions. I was allowed to change password, then it said my username was bad. Tried to change that and it says username already used. Not sure what is going on. Contacted the site mgr. So far they can even get a handle on what I'm talking about. Explained to them that I couldn't log in and copied the error message I received. Get an answer from them, "log in and click on appointments to veiw future and past appointments". Say WHAT?

A symptom of a password hijack attempt.

Tom, That sounds like a very possible symptom. I thought it was some sort of scam, but still had to follow through with everything to get back on the site. Scary stuff going on out there.

I noticed this evening that I was not automatically logged in as I usually am. I entered my logon/password and all seems back to normal again. I did not have to change my password as part of the process.
