Photo uploading time

Surprisingly in this day and age recent photo uploads have gone through right away, today’s did not. Have we gone back to a little closer scrutiny before allowing them or did I press the wrong button?

I uploaded two pictures last night with no problems and they were available right away. However, I did have to do a little modificarion to one picture because it exceeded the 300k limit.
