Pictures
My last two posts - the picture were rotated 90 or 180 degrees. So they were sidewise or upside down. What am I doing wrong all of a sudden?

Suzie and Chuck,
Many articles on this subject if you search for them and many of them just don't work. I use iPhone and iMac or MacBookPro for all of my computer habits. I typically "preview" anything I am gong to post. If it is not the correct orientation I delete the picture from posting, open it up in "Preview" (Software for mac) and just click "Save." That has corrected the orientation every time.
Here is one link regarding "Windows" computers: Upside Down Photos
Apple products take care of the EXIF tags automatically so any picture taken on an iPhone will be displayed properly on an Apple product. The only way I know that my photos are sideways or upside down is to preview it before posting and then correct it with "Preview." When you open a picture in Preview that was taken on an iPhone orientation will be as it is supposed to. No need to rotate, just save then reload to web.
If you are opening it on a Windows computer you will have to click the right buttons to orientate it correctly then save it and post it.
That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
GO APPLE!

Been posting pic's here for a long time with no problems - something has changed recently.

if I upload my pics from my iPhone, or from the laptop where I save the iPhone pics, they will typically NOT be rotated correctly on this site...
I have found the solution for me is to 'EDIT' the photo first, either while it's still on the iPhone, or even after it's on the Laptop. I usually just resize the photo to 99% and it resaves the photo so that the orientation is now correct when uploading to the site.
why? not sure, but is sure is aggravating having to take these extra steps

The site software uploads photos in the original orientation they were taken. So if you took a photo in landscape mode, even though your device orients it right side up (portrait) , the site software will display it sideways.
I have to save a 2nd copy of any sideways-taken photo in it's upright position THEN upload the copy here for it to display correctly.
