Possible Malware

Just opened a posting by 99phantoms - "2018 Dutchstar.." and immediately a ransomware warning popped up. Please check the website for any intrusion. Thanks.

Our site is OK.

You might want to run your antivirus program.

One of the thigns about this and many other sites. is the Advertisers.

I've been on several sites where the mal-ware folks, simply purchases ad space so the randomly selected ad (usuially selected by Google ad servfices) was the infection. So the site (here) is good, but Google .. Well when they ID 'em they block 'em but it takes time.

If you are concerned about your system having some undesirable malware... consider loading the free trail of malwarebytes and running a scan. It's especially good at locating adware and tracking cookies and removing them.

Spybot is another good free program to run. It finds lots of stuff that Malwarebytes doesn't look for.

The downside is it logs you out of everything.

there are many infections that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware does not detect or remove which any antivirus software will, such as file infectors. It is important to note that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware works well and should run alongside antivirus software without conflicts.

This is true. Malwarebytes is especially useful for removing adware and tracking cookies... and it's free.

I have received those too, but the "live" Malware scanner catches it immediately and I quarantine the Malware. I use Emsisoft and have for a few years now. Good product and they update and protect your computer against the latest malware the moment its discovered (24 hours a day). It is not free.
