Posted pictures always rotated

Hello

I'm new to the forum, as a first time coach owner, the information here is great.

I'm having trouble posting pictures.

Every picture I post is turner counter clockwise 90 degrees.

I think I followed the directions, went to manage attachment, uploaded my picture and when I hit the attachment icon at top of message and choose my picture, when I preview the post the picture is always rotated 90 deg.
When I click on the attachment in the manage attachment section, the orientation is correct.

I even tried to rotate a picture 90 degrees clockwise, save it in my files and upload the rotated picture. When I did that the picture was rotated 180 degrees.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Doug

The forum software uploads pictures with the data from the original orientation of the photo. So if your device was sideways/upside-down...etc, that's how it will upload to here. It may look upright on your device because your device will orient it that way, but it's data is not upright.

What you need to do is save an upright copy on your device then upload the copy. Don't upload the original.

Are you posting from a pc or iPad, iPhone?
Pics on Apple devices look correct on the device but may be rotated when viewed on PC. If it looks right on a pc then it typically uploads in correct rotation.

loading pictures from iphone to the PC:

I email them from my phone to my pc

I then open, them save them to a file and rename them.

In the file on the PC they are all correct orientation.

When I click on them in the manage attachments section, they are also correct orientation

Phone is in the upright position when pictures are taken.

I must be doing something wrong

Doug

Try turning off the auto rotate on your iPhone.
