How do I insert a link in a post without it coming out as the www. text? With the old software I could name the link whatever I wanted (i.e. CLICK HERE or CLICK THIS) & the name became the clickable link, not the www. text.

I know it can be done because I've seen it in other member's posts, but I can't find out where to do it.

I'm having trouble but I get what you're saying. I'm probably doing something incorrectly. Thanks for the info.

Lori...
What I would like you to do .. is copy a URL that you want to link to. Next - type "Look Here". After you do that.. ..highlight the words "Look Here". When you have it highlighted.. go to the 7th emblem from the right.. it looks like a blue & green world with a link on it - Click that and then paste in the URL... Click ok.. and finish your post!

Thanks, MM.

It took me a while, but I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was deleting the http:// that's in that hyperlink box & typing in the www part of the URL. It kept coming up with a 404 error. But once I left the http:// in there & followed it with the www address, it worked.

'Cept, now that I spent all that time trying to figure out what I did wrong, I lost my editing window to go back to the post I wanted to correct. As a rally coordinator, I'm supposed to have more time. I put in for a request, but I'm still waiting on it.

Or do it the long way by using the url tag.
It would look like this (without the bolded part)
[url=http://www.irv2.com/]text here[url]

The finished product would be
text here
