Posting PDF's

After reading the Sticky: Forum 101, I could not find how to upload and post a PDF stored on my computer.

I did try Quick Reply/Go Advance/Additional Options/Manage Attachments/Choose File/Upload/Upload.

Now I just need to find where this file is stored and how to insert it into a post.

And, am I able to just upload a PDF before composing a post and insert it while writing my post?

After you have started a post, page down and you'll see a place to add an attachment (Manage Attachments). It will pop up a new window, open it all the way. Select your file off your drive on the left side, then select Upload on the right side. File cannot exceed 3MB.

Yup, that is where I am. Once uploaded, then what?

Right now my uploaded PDF is sitting in the boxed marked "Attach Files."

The next step is to insert it in the post. Do I right click it and copy link address, or what?

Once uploaded, close that window and go back to your post and finish it. Once posted, it will have a link to it.

So, after uploading PDF, with the PDF sitting in the Manage Attachments/Current Attachment box, the poster would then have go back to the post and click on the paper clip and insert the PDF.

By trial and error, I finally figured it out.

Coachstep wiring diagram.pdf

Now, back to the original question of uploading beforehand, like a picture, can it be done? Or, does one have to upload at time of post?

You have to upload it and attach it as you are composing your post.
