Posting pictures on a Thread

Without getting too technical can someone explain the process to get a picture/pictures onto a Thread?

I do not have a digital camera, just a 35mm Canon A-1 camera and a HP Pavillion laptop computer using Vista operating system.

I'm pretty sure I'd have to purchase a digital camera but have no idea what it takes from there to the Thread post. And I'm not the least bit computer literate.

Thanks.

You first have to get the photo on your computer. When you get a digital camera it will show you how to do that. You could scan photos to your computer as well , I suppose. Anyway , once they're there follow this link on placing them in your post. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f62/forum...ics-49134.html

Looking forward to seeing them.

Obviously, you will need to have your photos in a digital format to get them uploaded to any website. The easiest way is to have a digital camera. There are many models that will do a good job for less than $200. If you want more features, prices will be higher. Digital SLRs will be $600 and up depending on features and lenses.

You can also use a scanner to scan photos you already have to get them into a digital format. You can get a scanner for around $100.

Another way to get digital photos with a film camera is when you have film developed. Many processors will be able to provide you with the photos digitally on a CD.

Once you have digital photos, instructions for posting photos are listed HERE. Scroll down to Post #7.

Most phone's now-a-days have really good cameras. If you have a way to send the photo's to yourself by e-mail or such.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm about as far behind in technology with my cell phone as I am with my 35mm camera. I'm due for an upgrade with my phone according to Verizon but I don't need all the things now included with phones since all we use it for is to make/receive calls from relatives while on the road.
Probably my next step should be to acquire a digital camera but with all the choices on the market now picking one will be a challenge. I've read some Internet reviews on digital cameras and it seems every make and model has its pros and cons according to current users.
Appreciate the help.
