I have tried several times to enter the chat rooms and can get in and read others but I can only get the first chat on and after that I am unable to chat anymore no matter how many times I try. If I leave and then log back in I can do one post after that same as before. What gives?? Have pop ups allowed. What else??

Capt. Dan. By anychance are you using a WiFi connection?? During the winter when we're in Fla. Our RV park has WiFi and I find it impossible to get into the chat room. I can get into any other web site that I try to get into but the chat room will not load for me.

We were all pulling for you Dan as we could see your frustration. The list would show you entering the room and right after you posted it showed you entering the room again. Maybe this double entry affects it??
Good luck and we hope you can get in again.

Yeah, I saw that too??? I use a air-card in a router,[KR1], And it is wi-fi for both computers. So I guess I won't be going to the chat rooms. If I remove the air card then my other half will break my arms so ya knows how it goes....

While it may indeed be a speed issue with regard to your connection, I would suggest clearing your "temporary internet files" and your "cookies" and trying to get in the chat room....
I do believe the chat room uses "Flash" and if so this could be an issue as well.

Did a flash upgrade, Hooked to fire wire disabled wi-fi, Dumped cookies and downloaded files and no dice. Have a feeling that it is a Vista issue. Only thing I haven't tried is with a xp platform on this connection. But for whatever reason that second Dan entering the room has me stumped unless Vista is seeing double???? I have no trouble with any of the other sites and there chat rooms! Only here??? I'm out of answers, as the only other thing I haven't asked was if anyone going in the chat rooms with Vista had any problems. If that isn't the problem then Maybe the air-card?? Anything I missed??? Other than the chat??

OK, I wondered if this problem could be a Vista issue and Guess what ..IT IS!!!! My hard drive crashed last monday and This weds..I got it back but with only XP PRO in it. I was going back and put Vista back into it but wanted to try this and it works..With wi-fi..with a air-card! It has to be a Vista POS operating system!!SO....I have decided to not put vista in yet but wait till they get some more bugs out of it! I bought it and have the key but I still have the XP key too!! I think I will Wait, Dan

Hi All,

Hey Dan glad you got it all worked out!! Just as a note: I have not heard anything good at all about Vista!! So for now I am staying with XP, after all it works just fine!! In other words if it ain't broke don't fix it !!

Vista is so buggy that Apple's latest ad for the Mac has "PC" downgrading to a previous OS, while "Mac" has upgraded to Leopard.

Butterfly's computer is so flaky that I have thought of reverting back to vista but I can't do it with a disc as when I try the XP PRO disc, It sits there and does nothing. I have heard about the manufacturers helping by opting out of Vista and using XP but I can't find anything on-line to help me to do it! That could be because it sees my computer as a Dell so I will see what gives later. i want to thank all who helped and hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and Pray that the troops come home soon!!!!
