Push notifications

I know I'm missing something but I can't find it. I'm new to the forum so the answer is probably simple. Posted a thread, got responses and have read all of them. Some have green dots and others red. I assumed that meant read and not read but some remain red after reading them. I keep getting push notifications even though I have opened each post. I checked settings in the app. (App for ipad) and I can find info on push settings but can't find where to turn them off..so I go to general in the ipad and look for the irv2 app and there isn't a listing for it. I've googled how to fix it and it says to go to the rv settings under the general tab of the ipad... Can anyone help with this. I really want to shut off the push notifications because they are popping up even tho I've read them and they are deleting my battery. Thanks for any help....

Anyone else finding iOS6 to be a dog? Both iPhone and iPad keep dropping my wireless, battery lasts half as long, the "solution" is to turn off the features that were touted as the big new improvements in iOS6! Love the phone and the pad, just wished I had stayed with iOS5.

The colored dots simply indicate whether a username is logged into the forum at the time you are reading a posting -- red means the user is offline, green means the user is online.

Under your device's main Settings (not the app's Settings button), click on Notifications (not General). Deselect the iRV2 app from receiving push notifications.

Hope that helps.

I just turned the view in lock screen off.
It seems to have worked.

It's been referred to the app developer.

I was just looking at their forum and they have many unhappy customers.

I downloaded iOS 6 as soon as it was available. Everything was fine until the past week when the IRV2 app started sending me multiple notifications from two threads. Like you, I checked and one thread had new posts sometimes but not the other thread. I would sometimes receive 6-8 notifications all at once for these two threads several times a day. I turned off notifications for IRV2 and now it's fine.

FWIT, this is the only app that has acted this way.

I wish I had the working notifications back.

Route 66. Is this the same issue where I keep getting notifications of an update to a thread I'm subscribed to, yet when I go that thread, there is no new post?

Yes. It's a problem with notifications for members with iPhones/iPads and the latest IOS.
