Hi: I posted a comment a month ago that has had 86 views, but no one has replied. I'm wondering if the "check" symbol that states "You are subscribed to this thread" has some significance as far as others not being able to comment? Did I do something to prevent comments and what does that "check" appear for? I have not seen it in the other forums. I guess it's possible no one wanted to reply... Thanks!

Where is the post? Perhaps it's posted in a forum that usually attracts members who discuss subjects much different from the subject of your post and no one posted? Can you give us a link to it?

If it's in the wrong forum we can move it to where it may get more exposure.

Thanks Hitchiker: There it is again! In my post on this forum-a check in the listing. It seems I'm the only one that gets that-I just wondered why it appears and what it means.

The post that didn't get any replies BTW was in Technology: Satilites, & etc. I had to type in a search "Replace my Magellan NAV 750 GPS..." No big deal there...I understand maybe no one wants/needs to reply...it's that check mark that has me curious...

I just found your post and posted a test response. I looked at your subject and the place you post it and it all seemed ok. Timing is a big issue and also specificity - GPS Suggestions? - might have gotten a response versus naming a specific brand and model. Only two things I can think of!

A white check mark inside a small blue square box under the 'Rating' column indicates you are subscribed to that thread. If you'll drag your mouse pointer over that check marked box it should show a break out box that says "You Are Subscribed to this Thread".

I did have the mfg. name and the model of the unit in question listed.

But I still haven't had an answer about why that check mark appears in the rating column when I post something. I know what it looks like, and what it says when you roll over it-but I would like to know why mine is the only listing I've ever seen with that...and what does "you are subscribed to this thread" mean?? Anyone have a hint?

Hi Gene,

You are subscribed to an "Automatic Thread Subscription" and the delivery method is set for instant Email notifications to the email address on file which is an account with msn.com. If you don't want to get the notificatns go into User CP and change the settings. It's your call.

If the email address is incorrect you can fix that in User CP too, You won't get the notifications if your address is wrong.

If you need assistance with any of these settings click on the 'Contact Us' tab and someone will be happy to give you a hand with it.

While your in your User CP you might want to adjust your time settings too, I noticed yours is still set to the default GMT Western Europe time.
