I've noticed that when new threads or postings are made in the Just Conversation forum, they don't seem to appear when you click on Unanswered Posts or New Posts. However, they do seem to appear in the Recent Discussions on the right side of the page
I realize this is a non-RV topic forum and probably not important so, is this the reason why it doesn't appear or did I stumble upon a software glitch?

Maybe one of the admin team members has an answer for you but I run through a lot of unanswered posts and I had not noticed that before.

I just started a new thread in the iRV2 Website Tech Support & Help forum, entitled "Why?".
After I submitted it, I clicked on "Unanswered Posts" and saw it listed. I looked at the "Recent Discussions" and saw it there too. However, when I clicked on "New Posts", it wasn't there.
This is the same problem as I reported in this thread, but in a different forum.

I don't remember where, but I remember reading a member won't see their own posts in the New Posts list because once you submit a reply, the page displays the thread with your reply in it, so, technically, you've seen it so it isn't a new post to the poster.
Did I make sense or just confuse you more?

Lori is correct. "New Posts" does not display your posts.
To see all new posts including your own, click on "Quick Links" in the blue toolbar, then click on "Today's Posts".

I know this is getting silly, but I'm going to ask it anyway. If what was said above is true, then why do I see my own posts in Unanswered Posts? Like responding to a recent post, I wouldn't answer my own (unanswered) post either.

Good question. I don't know the answer to that one.
