Reporting feedback.

Sometime ago I messaged a moderator about a objectionable picture. I was told it would looked into and thanks for getting involved. A month or so later I saw the same picture still on the forum. I’ll have to assume the moderator disagreed with my concern. Fair enough.
My question would be , is there normally a response , either pro or con, after a submission is made?

We always send a thank you when a report of a questionable post is made. We don’t respond further as we take action on it if it’s deemed to be violation of our Community Rules. Rather than posting a link to it here , please send in another report so we can again take a look at it. We’re human and sometimes things fall between the cracks. Thank you

We found the post that you reported. It was removed .
You may have to clear your browser as you may still be seeing it because of that.

Reporting feedback.

Hmm, still there. I’ll describe what I’ve done.
I’m using the iRV2 app on iPad . ios12.
I cleared history cookies etc in safari through settings .
I cleared cache in app.
I logged off and on app.
I rebooted.
This is regarding a certain coffee mug, just to be clear.
Thanks for your work on this Cliff.

Thanks for checking.

We've discovered this "function" with the TapaTalk app.
The app grabs and keeps the first image to draw attension to the thread. The image was retained by the app, despite it being deleted on the Forum.

The staff is now aware of this "function" of the app and will moderate in response to that.
That particular image should now not appear on that thread.

Thanks again.

Reporting feedback.

I had to copy and reinstall that thread. So the old link you may have to go to that thread will no longer work. You’ll have to scroll down the list of
fifth wheel threads until the last post was made and that was the end of Oct. to find it.
Here’s a link for your convenience.

The good news is that the photo is gone.
Thanks again for pointing this out to us. It’s appreciated.

Cliff

I've reported things too in the past also. I think it would be nice to have some feedback about what was done, if anything, and why.
Not a book, just a sentence or two. I think it would give us a better idea of what you all consider 'reportable'.
Just a little under 2 million years ago I was a 'guide' (a helper, and extra set of eyes, but not a moderator) on an Android forum for a couple years. When things were reported there the reportee usually (not always) got an email saying something along the lines of 'yep, you were right, we took action' or 'nope, that is not outside our rules'. Either way we knew the outcome. I realize that's extra work to a group of people who are already busy, but it's a nice touch.

Thank you for reporting posts. We ask all members to report posts which they see when there is a violation of the Community Rules. The staff cannot read every post, so the help is appreciated.

This thread is different, being about a system issue.
In contrast, reported posts are typically about a member's behaviour on the site.

The staff does not discuss publicly any interaction with individual members, so feedback on post reports cannot be provided.

Thanks again

Well that makes perfect sense now doesn't it.
Thanks for pointing that out.
I'll quit thinking nasty things about you now.
