Resizing pictures on an IPhone 7

I have tried to post several times in the classifieds but a message always pops up when putting pictures in that says I’m exceeded size. I presume this means picture size. But do not know how to reduce the size of the picture I wish to add. Most pics will be taken from my IPhone gallery, any help will be appreciated

I email them to myself so that I can open them in Preview on my mac. Then under the Tools Menu, select Adjust Size. In this window adjust the Resolution. The new size will appear at the bottom of the window. I think you need: 300kb or less.

There'a a problem with the forum upload function in the attachment manager. Your picture (or any other file type such as movie-mp4) can be well below the posted size limit and it will still say it is too large. I ran into this yesterday when trying to upload a 2 Mb MP4 file which is supposed to have a 500 Mb limit on that file type.
