Rexhall Forum
Hello,
There is a thread under class A motorhomes called "Calling all Rexhall Owners".
They appears to be interest from The Rexhall owners. What numbers are you looking for to allow us to have our own forum? Is it a cost issue?
Thanks,

It isn't a cost issue. It has to do with keeping our forums as streamlined as possible. Having a forum for every mfr/make/model leads to so many choices members don't know where to post what. It's too confusing & we drive members away so we carefully watch activity when deciding to create a new forum.
We made 2 stand-alone forum additions, the first in a long time, with Outdoors RV & Entegra. Mfr growth, as well as sustained post activity warranted it.
We have no "set" number required but if you're wanting to know numbers, you can look to those 2 forums for guidance.

Hi Lori,
Respectfully, I'm going to disagree.
I don't believe any members will be driven away.
There are fifteen Rexhall owners who have openly requested a forum. They were attracted to the value of iRV2 without a Rexhall forum, and will most likely remain if a forum is not established. If a forum is established, it won't drive them away.
It won't drive away Monaco members, or Thor owners....so, I just don't see member loss.
There is also a continuity of design through manufacturers models. They don't throw the baby out with the bathwater each new model year and start over. They build on what is successful. There are many subsystems that have been used year over year in Rexhalls, in both gas and DP. Having this specific information aggregated in one place would be highly beneficial.
With regards to looking at "other forums" for guidance, I will point out that this group of Rexhall owners has been more active during the past month than the Foretravel group was in 2013, 2014, and ytd 2015.
If anything, creating a new forum creates an upside to attract new members. Should a Rexhall owner open the iRV2 webpage, they will find a tangible reason to join, which would be in direct support of the iRV2 mission.
Please reconsider, and establish a Rexhall owners forum. Maybe a trial period....say, six months?
Regards,
John

Hi Lori,
I totally agree with John and don't understand why having a Rexhall owners group would be confusing and drive members away as the various models are listed by manufacture on IRV2. I have a Cummins engine and Allison transmission and search those forums when needing answers and don't find it confusing. As John suggested please consider even a trial period.
Thanks,
Martin

Lori I would have to agree with John and Martin although I don't have a Rexhall ( had one in the 90s and it was a well built coach) why not give them a chance, this forum is one of the best for RV info and I think they would add to IRV2. I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes by posting in support for a Rexhall forum.

For the time being, we are not creating new forums. The site administrators will monitor threads for activity & growth for later consideration.
However, I have created an Owners Group. If you want the Rexall Owners Group designation under your campfires, you can join via your User CP/iRV2 Groups.

Hi Lori,
I'm catching up...thanks for creating the Rexhall Owners Group.
Quick question please...you said that if we want the designation under our campfire, join the group.
Will the designation appear automatically? I joined the group, checked under the campfire, did not see an update.
Just wondering if there are additional steps I need to take...intricacies of websites not my day job Or, did I make an error?
Thanks.

The owners group ID will show on each members posts (left side bar) as soon as programming changes are finalized...this is currently in process.
Thanks for understanding,
Steve as iRV2 Staff

The programming part is complete...please notice if you added it, you should see "Rexall Owners Group" under your avatar and campfire counter.
We will have the spelling corrected ASAP.
Thanks
