Setting default subscription mode

When I start a thread or reply to one I would like my default subscription mode to be instant e-mail. Right now it is daily digest. How do I change it?

I know how to manually change it by unsubscribing and resubscribing but would like to change it for the default mode.

It's done in your User CP (Control Panel), it's explained in post #10 in this thread.

Hi Hitchhiker,

I appreciate your taking the time to respond and I just read though post 10 but still don't see how to set the default on the user CP. I know how to do it manually for each thread but not how to reset the default. Before posting I did try to look on each option in the user CP but still did not see it. If you or someone else could point the way it would be much appreciated.

User CP>>
Settings & Options; Edit Options>>
Messaging & Notification; Default Thread Subscription Mode; Instant Email Notification>>
Save Changes.
