Sig pic

Trying to change my signature picture. I go on user cp click on change sig pic and click browse, choose my pic and it appears but when I click save changes it states upload failed everytime.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Steve,

The system doesn't allow a picture in the signature however you can have one link that will go to the picture if you want. Here's a copy and paste of the section of our Community Rules that tells about signatures.

Signature Standards: Signatures must be setup in your profile rather than manually added to your messages. They will appear at the bottom of every post you make. Signatures must be kept to a maximum of three lines (including blank lines) and contain no more than one link. (non-commercial). Signatures may not include email addresses, links to competing websites, prompts to contact or a sales pitch. Signatures must follow our forums posting standards and only one line may be bolded.

I know we can't put pics in our signature, yet that clip you referenced doesn't list pictures in the things we "may not include". Maybe some one could add it to that sentence. Just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestion on revising the rule. However, it seems unnecessary to make a rule prohibiting members from doing something that the system won't allow them to do.

True; however, since they've asked about it before, still do & will, no doubt, do so in the future, I'd think it'd save ya explaining it all the time if it was added to the rule sentence.

But then, who reads the rules, right?

Sorry guys I asked the wrong question. It was my avator picture I was having probems with so now that I have figured this out everything is working fine.
