Very hard to read for us old guys. And let's face it, 90% of the people using this site are old.

The colors on the first page when you log in are washed out looking and make it very difficult to read. What was wrong with the previous color settings everybody could read them a lot easier than what you have now.

This is definitely a problem. When I hover my mouse over RV Forums, the banner slightly hides your selections. This is under IE9.

Woke up at 0300 this morning and was looking at the forum in bed with my nexus7 and it was so bright it woke DW up. Kinda looks bright white and bland. on the up side it makes a great light to make it to the washroom.

We have added a new option so that you can configure font size to your liking.

To edit forum font display:

Click on your User CP (upper nav bar) and find "Edit Options" in the left side menu. Click and then scroll all the way down through the various options until you see the option to change font size. Medium is the default size. After you change the font display size click on "save".

Why was the discussion closed on the main page and sent here? Don't you want the whole group to see what is going on?

I think it's here because this is the "Forum Issues" forum...

If you have an issue with that, I suggest you post it...here...

No comment (yet) on the white background but I might be able to help you with the fonts...

Near top, left of the screen the letters CP, click on that button

now scroll down to "Edit Options"

Near the bottom of that fairly long page is "Font size" (ALmost if not the last item)

I was on Medium, I went to Large and it is much improved.

I need to check if there is a "Background color" setting, Seems at least one forum using this software that I visit had that but ... I visit a lot of forums that "Look like" this place.

Checked, Background is NOT (at this time) an option there.

Took me about half a day trying to figure what button I pressed that screwed up my iRV2 format before I stumbled on this thread and realized it wasn't my goof. I still haven,t figured out the correct way to get here? Lucky I subscribed when I found the thread as I get here using the notification address on my E-mail when someone posts. I'll get it figured.

I'm not sure I'll get completely used to it but I'll try. Format looks kind of empty and cold. I toggle back and forth to RV.Net for a comparison as I think the two were pretty much the same in visual appearances, clarity etc. I vote for the old look. I can usually get by without glasses but with the new change sometimes characters blend together and I put on a pair of reading glasses.

Nice to know folks are looking for ways to improve.

Funny when I first started designing web pages they were flat and bland. Then came the big push for '3D' button, animated links, BRIGGHT colors, etc.. 20 years later, we are back to to Flat and Bland..

Folks, we welcome comments as well as pointing out problems.

Some of the previous posts have been off topic.

Let's stay on topic discussing any issues regarding the site change.

Thanks!

Forgive me if this has been mentioned. I don't have time to read all the comments.

I miss having a USER CP button on the home page at the top.

I find the bright white harder to read than the previous background color.

Please increase the font size in recent discussions.

I know you need the ad revenue, but I feel that having the homepage primarily ads will give perspective new members the wrong idea. And it loads VERY SLOWLY. Isn't there a way to make the home page reflect this group more accurately? When I suggest this list to new friends I will send them a link to the forums page.
