I guess I might as well load and use Chrome. I keep getting notices that iGoogle won't be around after sometime in 2013. So, as long as I am in a hotel and using their internet connection I guess I'll take the plunge.

It's absolutely bog-slow loading the forum portion (the lower 2/3) of the page. The header loads fairly quickly, then it calls for the various ads on the lower part of the page and grinds.....and grinds......and grinds. On my work computer, I'm stuck with IE and CANNOT download unapproved add-ons. There are some pages that I have to give up on and reload. Other vBulletin forums I frequent don't seem to have this problem.

I use Opera 10.10 and have noticed the annoying slow-down too. I have not changed any of my options either. I tried Chrome, but didn't like some things about it. I installed I.E. 8 and it disabled the delete key while composing or replying to emails in Outlook Express. A Google search showed that I was not alone with what MS did to my OE. It works fine in Outlook but it has too much bloatware. The damage was also permanent. I didn't like how FF worked either. I can jump to any other sites and they load and display just fine. I know what the problem is, but I can't post it here.

There is still an intermittent, on-going, problem with the back button not working without two or more clicks.

I was averaging 35 sec. to load a page. Downloaded Ad-Blocker a couple hours ago, now downloads instantly. Info on Ad-blocker said 30 day free trial then would be charged if I continued. I could not find a price. Anyone have info on that?

I wonder why the ad blocker and Fire Fox are required for this site to get decent response and not the other sites I visit??? I like this site a lot but something ain't right.

Please check it out site administrators.

If you followed the link in MY POST #4 on page 1 in this thread, you should not be charged ever for AdBlock+. The author DOES ask for a donation, which I have done and encourage everyone to do if you think his programming effort brings value to you, but you should never be charged and the product should never time out.

What browser and where did you get the plugin/addon? Sounds like a third party trying to gouge you. I've never seen a charge for one.

IE8 and Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File. Pages load fast and no google ads or any other ads.
