I started using Firefox with Adblocker Plus and all the ads go away. Pages load lightning fast.

As an update to my previous post, after 145,000 packets sent, the router po1.fcr04.sr05.dal01.networklayer.com is dropping 24.1% of them. They (networklayer.com) should be made aware of this. Being an edge router, it's probably overloaded.
This morning, using FF with Adblock, I found the browser stuck connecting to google-analytics.com. It had completely (as far as I can tell) rendered the page, and a refresh caused it to load without problem.

Why does it take so long for the posts to appear?
It just started happening a couple of weeks ago.
When you get this fixed, I will start visiting again.
It doesn't do this on any other site that I visit.
I used to enjoy reading and answering some of the posts here. Now, I just don't have the patience to wait for the posts to come up.
Thanks for having a great sight for a long time, I will miss it.

I up graded to Opera 12.02 from 10.10 and when I post in a thread, my post pops up sooner than I can blink. I also added ad-block and don't see those annoying ads near the top of the page anymore.

NOW WHAT?
I can go to any site on the web and when it loads, I can see the "elements" as they load. Every other site completely loads in seconds or less.
This site hangs up with 1-4 "elements" still left to load and just hangs... FOREVER. I have to click the X to complete the load.
Why do the Admins have to constantly mess with this site?
I even did a restore to yesterday when it was working fine. It still hangs. I have done nothing to my browser. It hangs with ad-block on or off. No other site in my bookmarks does this. Only bookmarks that take me to irv2.com
Probably more corporate greed. I know it's new software, but put it back to where it was working.
IT EVEN HANGS WHEN I TRY TO PREVIEW OR SUBMIT A POST. YESTERDAY, A NEW POST WOULD POP UP AS SOON AS I CLICKED SUBMIT.

Neither the Admins nor the Mods have access to the forum's operational software.
When we learn of problems such as this, we refer them to the tech folks.

I meant the administrator of the software.
I hit send and after 10-15 seconds, it quit trying to send and went to:
"Connection closed by remote server"

I hit send again and it went right away. Something along the way is bad or someone is tweaking the software. It doesn't happen to any other site.
Edit: Same with this.

It changes from minute to minute and second to second. It might be something along the route. Wish they'd fix it or leave it alone.

I have experienced the same issues on my laptop using IE, but not on my home Mac using Safari. I will try ad block. Here is an IE tweak from another forum user.
My first attempt at adding a hyperlink above didn't work. so here is the URL.

So frustrating. Soooooo frustrating. About a month ago reacting from comments posted in this thread I add Adblock to this computer and everything seemed to work so much better. Starting about a week ago, after about an hour if reading a message would pop up saying I had exceeded my 200 blocked ads. 200 BLOCKED ADS IN AN HOUR? After this message pops up this web site slows w - a - y down. And yet I can SWITCH to several other another web forums and everything is fine.
At my age I don't have a lot of time left to waste waiting for responses when I click on a topic. P-L-E-A-S-E H-E-L-P U-S

OK, this afternoon at work (T1 line), a new page will load down through the Mission Statement box in about 3-4 seconds. The balance of the page below, however, takes as much as 5 minutes to load, and I've had any number of instances where it never did load.
