Thanks Comments

While I was in my User CP checking some options, I accidentally found 12 different "Thanks" Comments left for me by others over the last year. My question is, how was I supposed to know these comments had been left for me? I never received any notification and when I go back to those threads there is no visible indication that a "thanks" comment had been left.
If that's the way its designed, perhaps you should make it clear to users that any comment left in a "Thanks" may never be seen by the person, since they have no way of knowing its there.

Jim, in the main menu, go to Quick Links->Edit Options and scroll down to "Thanks PM Notification". You can select to be emailed anytime someone thanks you.

It's important for members to "play around" with the options available in the User CP (otherwise known as the User Control Panel).

Post #10 in the Forums 101 thread (a must read for any new member & a great refresher for seasoned members) specifically addresses customizing your membership.
