There is a bad ad on this forum

I don't know which one it is, but it's hijacking the chrome browser on my iPad. It's not a browser issue. It's on this forum somewhere.

If you can identify the ad, we can look at it.

Since we all see different ads, it's difficult to find the problem ad.

The ADCHOICES advertising with its autorun videos and other tracking issues is considered MALWARE in much of the web community. I don't know how much IRV2 or its hosting is making off it but the community would be best served if it was REMOVED! It literally consumes more bandwidth than the entirety of the IRV2 forum even with all the other ads.

I get that at least once a day on my android. Very annoying.

It seems to be almost normal for this site. I never have problems with any other site like this one. I have seen the complaints for months on here, but little ever seems to get resolved.

I see no ads on this site. Chrome with ad block.

I suspect the "bad" ad service is one of the reasons for the frequent posts about sluggish performance of this site. AdBlock to the rescue.

Please refer to post #2.

If members don't tell us what ad or the site address (can be seen in your systems tray at the bottom of your screen) is causing the problems, we can't help.

It's like telling your mechanic your coach is "acting up", that's all the info you give them & you tell them fix it. What's acting up, where, what's it doing? They have no idea where to start without more information.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Thank you. That's the kind of thing we need to know.

I see many that share hardware, operating systems, browser version, antivirus version and many other items. What else can we provide to help? Thanks
