I have registered...but every time I want to log on, I have to go back to the email and click the link to verify my email. Trying to log on the "normal" way just won't work. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

I've marked your email address as 'verified' in your profile, let us know if you have continued problems.

Also, you might want to use the 'Remember My Logon' feature so you won't have to log on each time you use the site.

Thank you for marking my email as "verified"...what does that do? Although you did this, I still can't log on without going back to the email and linking through it.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what it is you're saying when you say "I have to go back to the email and click the link to verify my email". What link are you referring to?

Is it a link you have bookmarked? Maybe if you'll elaborate on what exactly happens we can help you. I'll be away from my computer most of the day tomorrow, if I don't get back with you right away, I will later or over the weekend.

If another moderator/administrator wants to jump in on this, go for it!

I would be happy to provide details. When I first registered for the forum I was sent an email to verify that it was me. It provided my logon name and password. Also included in the email was a link back to the site to verify. When I click on the link provided in the original email, I am directed back to the forum and logged on. However, if I go to the website directly I cannot log on. So the way I get there is to open Outlook, open the email and click on the link. I would love to just be able to log on as I do at many other sites (banks, other forums, etc.). I have the site marked on my Internet Explorer as "popups okay" and don't have any other setting that should be preventing it...but I don't know what's up with it!

Does your login page look like this?

The "I am registered on: iRV2 Forum Main Page" box should be checked, and the "Remember me on this site" is optional.

Yes that is what it says. Let me log off again and try to come back on. I cleared cookies to make sure before, but it didn't seem to help. Maybe it is the password, are there any restrictions on it...like alpha/numeric combo of a certain length?

It was probably the old "faulty magneto in the main solstice area" bug again... or as the old IBM Customer Engineers used to code in their maintenance log books when they couldn't find any problem: NTF-TWA

At Ma Bell, we used NTF also.

Another was CCWT; came clear while testing.
