Using Back Arrow
For about a week now when I'm reading a thread and want to get back to the thread list of topics, I use the back arrow but it takes me out of the web site completely. Every so often it does take me to the list of topics but very seldom. Help please.

What platform, OS, and browser are you using? Tablet, laptop, Windows, Chrome, Edge? It makes a difference on the type of help we can give you.

I'm using internet explorer. Like I stated... this only started recently and doesn't happen on any other forum sites or any other way.

THIS THREAD from years ago discusses the issue. Post 54 has a solution.

Yikes! 217 posts on this issue within 9 months. On Post #150 from MSHappyCampers he states "hold the backspace button down on keyboard for a second and it works like the back arrow". I think I'll try that.
It's strange though that the above post began in 2011 and 7 years later this is still happening.... only on this site for me.

Amazing how this issue fluctuates. Today it's not happening and I didn't change a thing. Tomorrow will probably revert back to the problem as it's been doing 7 years prior.

With my Android tablet, I press and hold on the topic link in the list of topics, which opens an option window. I press "Open in New tab", which keeps my original page open, and the topic I selected opened separately. Once I read the topic, I delete it and go back to the original page. With my computer I right click on the selected topic to open the option window, then "Open in new tab", then read the topic in the new tabbed page.. Just make sure your original page stayed open before you delete the topic when you are through with it.

I'd think opening a page in a new tab should allow the original page to remain. Once done with the new tab, close it and go back to the original page. I often have 12 or more tabs open at once in Chrome, Safari, or Firefox when I use them. I've not used IE for over a decade, but as I remember it had the same features.
