Very high daily post counts

It's neat that so many people have joined this forum. However, it does raise an issue. Over the Christmas holiday we spent four days with family and didn't turn the computers on.

I use the "New Posts" listing, usually at least once a day - sometimes twice. Not logging in for four days resulted in 773 new posts! I gave up reading them after about 2 hours and just clicked "mark as read"!

Don't know what I missed, but 2 hours was long enough.

Do what I do - read the first couple of pages and mark all of them as read. If it is at all interesting, the thread will stay active and you can catch up with it the next time if makes the top two pages.

Hi Frank,
I run into that problem and sometimes just over night. What I do is start at the right hand side and scan the "Forum" column. I then only look at things specific to my brand, or some of the general threads. Most of the time I do that anyhow so those posting questions in specific forums that are general to all RV's just don't get "my expertise" on the subject. Some examples are: refrigerators, batteries, some chassis, and other general subjects.

this morning I logged on and there are 8 pages at 50 a page "New Posts." That's like 400. I accidentally clicked on one this morning that was forum specific but what the hey, I was in there so I answered and hopefully with the right answer(s).

Since you are a Forest River owner it wouldn't be of any loss to skip over the Winni, Fleetwood, Newmar, or other forum threads. That should cut your time down considerably so you can get to the "honey dews."
