Weird PM in my inbox this am from this board

Weird PM in my inbox this am. States:

"Your email account is invalid
We have recently failed in trying to validate your email address. Please go to your User CP and update your email address to reconfirm your account."

This PM was from "Guest" not an admin.

Of course, my email is not invalid. I was notified properly of the PM in my inbox via my email account, as per usual.

I do not want to use any of the links in the PM to do anything and my email address is correct. Could an administrator take a look at this and reset my flagged email box? Thanks.

I would just pass it along to a mod and let them look into it. It's part of their deal.

They'll find out real quick if it's a spammer.

Our email validation program has a glitch with some correct email addresses, and it is being repaired.

Now I also have a banner across the top of IRV2 pages saying my email is invalid. The server must really have thrown a hissy fit!

My forum email is correct and the box is working as I am receiving replies from the board.

Good to know that it's a known system problem and not some phishing scam, which is what I was first thinking.

I am still seeing the error at the top of my page saying my email is gooned, though.
