I recently changed my avatar. The jpg image looks great in the photos section where I uploaded it, but when I use it as an avatar, the color and definition seem to suffer. When I right click on the avatar and select 'view image', it looks fine. The resolution (pixels) should be adequate. Any suggestions?

Dave,
The resolution on the image in your album is too low, then when the software reduces it farther for an Avatar it loses additional definition. I suggest deleting the one you have in your album and upload it again with a higher resolution if you're able to obtain it in a higher resolution.

OK. I uploaded another higher resolution file. We'll see how it goes.

On edit: A little better, I guess, but not great. Not sure it's worth the 51KB of space it's taking up.

Dave,
I'm surprised the re-load with the 51K file didn't clear it up. Now you have me stumped. 
Maybe one of the more knowledgeable members, moderators, or administrators will jump in here and offer a soloution.... obviously mine didn't work.

Still working on it. Just got some new graphics software and I'm experimenting. Still seem to have the resolution problem. Going to try an oval format next with bolder fonts and border.
