Why The Double Log On?

About a week ago this started.
1. I get the usual main page log on screen.
2. I log on using my ID and PW. I check the remember me box.
3. The redirect screen appears for a couple of seconds
4. I am returned to step #1
5. I repeat step #2
6. Step #3 is seen again
7. I am now logged on to iRV2.

This is a hard problem. It happens 100% of the time.
thank you,

Just noticed this morning.
3a. I receive the "Thank You for logging on" screen for a couple of seconds.

Gary - I think this is related to your security settings. Have you had any recent updates? We use cookies to keep you logged in and I think they are being cleared by your Browser or by your Security protocol somehow...

Hi Janet H,
Nope, no changes, updates, additions or deletions in many months. IE9 security is set to medium. Browsing history is saved, cookies are allowed.

It's doing the same for me with Firefox on both Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux.
I discovered that even though a second login screen appears as if the login didn't work, I am actually logged in and just click on one of the menu options to carry on. Weird though.

The remember me box doesn't work period for me and after about 20 minutes of browsing IRV2 stops responding and I have to sign off and back on, and then it does it again.
IE9 and Win7

Today the log on went as advertised. I will keep this thread informed. BTW, the problem is/was on two different P/Cs. One running Win7 and IE9 the other running XP and IE8.

For the last couple of days the log on process has proceeded normally. I consider this question closed.

Well, maybe not. I wanted to do a campground review. So I signed on, spent some time composing a review, went to post it and got a screen that said I wasn't authorized to post reviews. Then noted that I was no longer signed in. Went to the main forum screen, signed on again, and noticed I had a notification. Clicked on it, got a screen that said I had to sign in. Had to sign in again to get the message.

I'm on Firefox and when traveling I only sign in if I want to post.

Hi Half Dimes,
When you logged in, did you check the "remember me" box? If not that could be the problem.

The automatic re-direct operation has quit for me. I now always have to click on the re-direct sentence.

It's doing it again.
