Wish I only had to see ad once a day.

Sure wish advistisers would understand that seeing the same add 50times a day makes most people not want to deal with the company. If it showed up once or twice keeps your possible customers more likely to deal with them.

I bring that up here in case the forum operators might send the idea up the food chain.

IMHO

I agree. However they would have to have a lot of ads in order not to repeat for some of us. I spend time here instead of watching several hours of television.

I have got to the point where I ignore the ads.

I recall seeing somewhere the ads are filtered if you become a supporter.

In the world of Science Fiction there is an Author, I believe it's E.E."Doc" Smith (in fact just confirmed) He wrote a series of books called the Lensman series.

Plot does not matter to this post

In one scene he's being Taxied to his destination on an foreign planet. The people there see physically so there are no windows in the taxi... The Lensman links telepathically with the driver so he can see what is outside the cab.

There are these big black retangles.. he asks the driver what they are "OH, those are billboards.. We ignore them without thinking here I'll let you see them" and so he does.

I do not see the same add 50 times a day.. Oh it may be on my screeen, but I do not see it.. My eyes just pass over it like white space.. That's how you deal with annoying ads (ANd I keep speakers off less I need them).

I am the same way, I don't even see the adds, the wife will ask me now and then about a certain add on a webpage, she can't beleive I don't see the adds on the screen.
