I haven't spent the whole mil yet, but here's how its done.
1) buy a nice DP
2) buy lots in a coupla parks I like
3) start travelling & buy fuel, overnight stays, etc.
4) attend some rallies
5) just live some
6) the mil goes the way of the dodo

I would buy this Kingsley Coach and trailer. It started with a Peterbilt 379EXHD tractor and was custom built. Any additional funds would go toward more LED lights and chrome polish for the stacks. I climbed out of a big truck in 1989 but somethings remain in the bloodstream. Of course try to avoid state parks with 34' length limit.

I'd buy my two sons motorhomes, myself a newer motorhome, and put the rest in an trust to be use only for traveling by any of us.

Putting it (the rest) into a trust would be "saving it" Wanye, you would just have to spend more on your New Coach!(Or your son's)

If I had that money I would buy a new truck, keep our fifth wheel, then I would take my wife and kids and start traveling to every U.S. state visiting all the parks and historical areas until the money is gone.

I would buy a great new Motorhome with the floor plan I loved, DP. Brand new jeep to tow behind it!! A place in Montana to park for the summer. A couple of ATVs. A small Motorhome for the daughter and her kids. And spend the remainder going first to Alaska then the tai dee of the states we have not been to. Also fly to Hawaii and rent an RV there to see the sights! I want to take it to Canadian Rockies also and spend time in addition to passing through on the way to Alaska. Also want to go to the Calgary Stampede, Rose parade, Mardi Gras. I have lots of places to go. Might even hire a part time driver!!

2014 Newmar Mountain Aire- $400k
2014 Jeep Rubicon- $35k (for use in Ouray)
2014 Ford F350 diesel 4X4- $60k
2014 Harley Ultra Electra Glide (in the bed of the F350)- $30k
Lot near Ouray with port and executive suit- $225
RV lot in Florida with port and executive suit- $125
Rv lot in Michigan on Lake Michigan or Huron with port and executive suit- $125k
That should do it. We could switch the Jeep and Ford as a toad depending on our destination.
Would give our 05 Dutch Star to our daughter and family and they could use our lots when they could.

who buys my house

Buying a "snow shovel" to give away to the person that buys your house does not fit into the guide lines of this thread...........but it "Will be allowed" as this is the best money spent out of all the posts so far and from the Million you had to start with you had a lot left, and when I read this........It made me laughGood one!

20 years ago I would have quit my job, bought a motorhome and traveled. Today I am retired, have a nice motorhome and travel so I would buy a beautiful piece of land on Tampa Bay to park it.

I could find a very suitable used motor home for around 75k, buy health, RV & toad insurance for at least a couple yrs. a used car for a toad, maybe a Malibu, than just hit the road toll we had enough.
