Unhappy 19 Fire Fighters Lost in AZ

There are things we just don't want to read nor can we comprehend. 19 HEROS (yes, this truly applies) died doing a job that most of us couldn't even begin to understand the danger. This is going to be a long, hot summer.

My heart is saddened by this knowing that all too often we take for granted those that our out there to protect us. Our military are always in our minds but our civilian counter parts should be also.

God bless all who serve to protect us no matter what uniform they wear.

My words will never be able to describe the aweful loss the Fire Service and nation is feeling right now after the loss of 19 firefighters in AZ this weekend.Firefighters around the country right now are engaged in many wildfires protecting lives and property. Firefighters in cities large and small answer the alarm day and night while most of us sleep safely. RIP my brothers. To the brothers of the Prescott Fire Department, we stand with you in your loss. God Bless

We were forced to evacuate here in CO because of the Black Forest fire. We were fortunate, as our neighborhood was saved with no damage, thanks to the courage of the men and women fighting the fire. They are true heroes. Bless all those who have given their lives protecting us.

It is truly heartbreaking, and brings to mind the ..... homeowners who resist/fight /ignore, a mandatory evacuation order, in the face of a wildfire.
If professional firefighters can be overtaken and killed by a wildfire, Joe average homeowner hasn't got a snowballs chance in.....!
