2013 Perseid Meteor Shower

Has anyone been watching the nighttime displays of late? Denise and I put our lawn chairs in the back yard area last evening and sat watching the display for about an hour. The night was so clear and wind free and for whatever reason there were no mosquitoes out either.

The display was wonderful to watch and the constant stream of passing satellites made it even that more entertaining. We will be joined tonight (if it remains clear) by our petite next door neighbour and her sleepover guest for the big viewing.

Looking forward to seeing the girls watch this in awe.

I wish the nighttime fog here would go away so we could enjoy the display!

I think it is to the north-east. Same direction I have to look to see all the light pollution of Phx and the surrounding areas.

We are about the same latitude more or less, so I would say just look north.

Same here in Ventura - overcasted at night most of this summer. One of the coldest I have seen here.

Last night was a washout. We got home from visiting with a neiceand family in RathTrevor Beach Campground and the rain started, it still hasn't stopped. Rucklefrutz.

I watched it from nantucket Island in MA. A nice clear night Sunday - saw many, managed to photograph a few. Too many clouds for the rest of it.
