4 days without electric

Storm really messed this area up bad. Temps in the 90's. We are lucky we have mh to sleep in with AC on and take showers in. Lots of people have no water no way to stay cool. Rumor has it 3 to 4 more days before they get electric on. Thank goodness for all the people out there working in this heat to restore power

JFGOBUCKS-------This old boy doesn't have much imagination so when I was trying to sign up on IRV2 every thing I tried was unavailable. My wife and I are happy when we are out and about in our motor home. So Happy Ho short for Happy Home.

Ugh, I remember when we were without power for 2 weeks after Hurricane Ike. It was HORRIBLE in the Houston area. Of course, now we have a motorhome, so I shall scoff at future hurricanes.

We lost power three days in the 1989 earthquake that stopped the world series. Lived 40 miles from the center of it.

One thing I learned was you can't buy gasoline when there is no power to your whole community.

From then on my vehicles never got much below a half tank and my motorhome is always filled before parking beside my house.

If a person is looking for a reason to buy a motorhome....being prepared for any emergency is a good reason. Our current stick house got flooded last year and we lived in our coach for three months.

Exactly! Hurricane in the Gulf = full gas and fresh water tanks!
