6 more weeks of WINTER!

Well it's official, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, so he said NAW, it's six more weeks of winter so back in the hole I go.

Hope he's wrong, but I got this feeling it may be even longer than 6 weeks.

Comforting news for snowbirds huh...

6 weeks now seems a lot better than 6 months like we were looking at in Sept. Ya baby I can handle 6 weeks or even 7, Won't be long now and the days are getting longer too. I think we gained almost a hour since the first haven't we?. Seems like it.

He has been accurate only 39% of the time so it is a better chance that he is wrong than he is right!

At 39% his record still beats any TV or radio weather-person.

We got 4 inches of snow yesterday, today's beautiful; but tonight we're in for another round of sleet, ice, and more snow. Temperatures dropping into the teens overnight in north central Arkansas.

Still leaves the hope that he is wrong at 61%!

I agree with you on TV "forecasts."

I have an inexpensive weather station that predicts the coming weather patterns better!!

It also tells me all the weather information where I am,not at some remote sensing station 10 or miles away. Often a remote station will say winds are at 20 mph and my station shows 5.

For lager areas, I use the National Weather Service. Not perfect, but more accurate than TV.
