Regarding color TV ....... we had the first one in town. Dad was a glassblower at RCA and made the first experimental vacuum tubes for color sets. Color broadcasts were marked in the TV Guide and we watched the show because it was color even if we weren't interested.

Dad said someday all shows will be in color and even some of the commercials.......... we thought that was fantasy.
