There's no need to fear. Underdog is here. His nemesis Yellow Pinky was quite the villian.

How about this one....Combat. I can't remember much about it but I do remember Vic Morrow was the lead. It was a must see for my Dad every week.

As a kid of about 12, I went to the Ed Sullivan theatre and watched the show. On that night -- Jimmy Durante, Frank Sinatra, Jr, and totogigio. It took 3 people, all dressed in black, to make Toto move, but he was SO cute! I went backstage afterwards and met Jimmy Durante. He stood up and gave me a hug. I was taller than him! It was a really big shoe, as Ed would say.

Have to jump back in here with another show.

The Bob Newhart show.
The series finally of his last show was the best I ever saw. Anyone remember his telephone routine and which war movie it was in?

Are these off the top of your head Steve? GOOD JOB! Rat patrol was the coolest when I was really young 8-10 if I remember right. It is sad these shows won't fit into our society today, they were great and when I get a chance to TV Land...it up I do.

Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In- which gave us catchy phrases to use in conversations, like:

Sock it to me
Here come de Judge
And that's the truth... Pbbbt!
Verrrrry interesting, but stupid (or sometimes another word in place of "stupid")
The devil made me do it
What you see is what you get (long before it became the acronym "wysiwyg")
You bet your sweet bippy
Ring my chimes

And don't forget "The Flying, Fickle, Finger of Fate Award"

I remember walking home from school and noticing 40 ft high tv antenee on our house from two blocks away. All the neighbors came over to watch the news, and Victory at Sea, but what was really cool is that before TV I listened to Gunsmoke on the radio, was so cool to actually see it on TV
