And I'll throw another cartoon show out, Capt. Kangaroo! I think back as a kid we spent most of our time outside playing, but we watched tv with our parents everynight.
We would have dinner, do up dishes and then sit down and Dad would pick and we would watch.

We moved to Ft. Wainwright in 1966 they only had two channels at that time.
sure was simpler times.

My favorite was Hopalong Cassidy, and there was Soupy Sales, and My Little Margie. Also, The Goldbergs (Dick Van Patten was the teen age boy), You Are There (Edward R.Murrow-the chain smoker who was the first to speak out about Joe McCarthy), and The David Susskind Show.

Turns out to be pre-60's of course and what I watched was syndicated reruns. Topper was the banker played by Leo G Carroll.

To the Wiki and beyond. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Topper_(TV_series)

Previous owners of Toppers house and St Bernard "haunted" the place but only Topper could see or here them. It was one of the great ones for me!
