You could have extended your awning for shade, the passing vehicles would provide moving air. Your RV would provide water and food. If you thought you could find help faster, why not spend that time calling around and find a tow service that wasn't slammed by service calls? Where was this god-forsaken place you were stranded?

Just finished a GS tow situation in Canada--engine blew just north of Vanderhoof, BC.
About 70 minutes from call to tow truck arrival. Loaded 450/Suites on flatbed and took us back to Westline Ford in Vanderhoof. Total time from first call to dropoff at Ford dealer was under 3 hours. Very lucky to have cell service--few miles farther, who knows?
Anyway, great service.

You are correct they did not involve towing. I'm happy to read there are people getting what they paid for with GSRA.

Seems to me a lot depends on the competence of the Customer Service Rep that you are lucky/unlucky to get hold of. Many of them don't understand 'in tow' can mean a LOT of different things.
And if you are using a smartphone to contact them, they usually know exactly where you are calling from.
Money well spent for me, would not travel without it. As to the GS Repair Service Warranty, don't know about that.

If out of town and need neighborly help both Good Sam and FMCA member have access to Standby SAMs and Stoppin' Spots, respectively. Both list members by state who are willing to help you out when having trouble in their area.

I am on both sites. Would gladly pick up the DW and dogs or provide overnight at the house (FHUs here) to someone needing assistance.
