A Great Fishing Destination, Ok Camping.

If you're travels ever take you near Pyramid Lake in Northern Nevada and you like to fish, it's a great destination for fishing.

We went camping there 2 weeks ago and had a good time. Did a little fishing with no luck. Yesterday I went back without the moho and caught 4 cutthroat trout, all 18-20 inches. Fished from 8:00 to about 3:00 with a break for lunch. A successful day for sure!

For a camping 1st, fishing 2nd destination it's ok. There's no trees or hook ups and if you're not careful you can get stuck in the sand near the beaches. There are good firm spots though and camping right at the beach is pretty cool. For fishing 1st, camping 2nd, it's excellent. If you don't want to dry camp and don't want the sand getting tracked in your RV, there's an RV park in Sutcliffe.

Just thought I'd share.

Thanks for info on fishing and campgrounds, Wolfpack.

Back in the late 80's, bunch of friends and I 4 wheeled through the sand and camped on the beach there. Back then, it was 3 wheelers so I didn't go fishing, but it was a great time, nice lake.

I've heard of lots of good-sized Cutthroats out of Pyramid. Thanks for sharing.
