I learned today, and I hope everyone gets to see this - and remembers this story.

Francis Scott Key

For those whose desires are to tread on US, remember this story.

Great video, but lets get the facts right.
Key was a Lawyer, Judge, Officer in the Army and a Poet.
Key wrote what he saw as a Poem not Song.
The poem was published on 9/20/1814 in the "Patriot".
His poem was "The Defence of Fort McHenry".
He later put the poem into a song which President Woodrow Wilson by Executive Order in 1916 made the "Star-Spangled Banner" our National Anthem.
In 1931 Congress passed a Resolution and was signed into Law by President Herbert Hoover.
Key also urged that the words "In God We Trust" become the National Motto. That did not happen until the USA adopted it by Law in 1956.

The video has been removed by the user. This is good. It would have made nice movie, but historically it was complete BS.

Try this Video.. And before anyone says anyting.. Yes, they did change many of the lyrics. But it's still a very good rendation. I found the video would not play in this window. had to click on the URL to run it.
